Today many of us yearn to make the holiday season more meaningful, more loving, perhaps more spiritual. Candlegrove traces the winter holiday season daily from Thanksgiving through Epiphany. | ||||||
December 7, 2007While this day commemorates the 66th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, it's also the anniversary of a day of reconciliation. In 1965 on this day, the Roman Catholic and Greek Orthodox churches reversed a religious split that had lasted more than 900 years. They ended their mutual excommunication of each other, dating back to 1054. We need more of that spirit of reconciliation now.
